The Russian occupiers continue their offensive in a number of directions.

Since midnight, when the three-day ceasefire announced by the Russians was supposed to begin , fighting has continued along the entire front line with varying intensity. This was stated by Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the operational-strategic group of troops “Khortytsia” on the air of a telethon.

He noted that the enemy is less active in some areas, there have been no clashes in some areas, but the Russians continue attacks in hotter areas. “Therefore, there is no need to talk about any kind of truce,” Tregubov stressed.

He named the directions where the enemy continues to advance.

“There were assault actions, starting from midnight, when they supposedly announced a ceasefire, in the Lymansky, Vovchansky directions, directly in the city of Vovchansk, in the Kramatorsk direction, in Chasovoe Yar, in the Toretsk direction, in the city of Toretsk and in Shcherbinivka. In the Pokrovsky direction, they actively tried to advance. And the same in Novopavlovsk. Therefore, the ceasefire declared by the Russians is not noticeable at the front, it is not noticeable in the rear either,” Tregubov said.

Putin’s Truce

As UNIAN reported, on April 28, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin declared a ceasefire on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Soviet-German war.

It was noted that it should last from 00:00 on May 7-8 to 00:00 on May 10-11. It was said that all hostilities would be stopped for this period.

In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the Kremlin’s three-day ceasefire another attempt at manipulation. According to Zelensky, only an immediate and reliable ceasefire for at least 30 days can provide the basis for real diplomacy.
