The remaining part of the Russian military contingent in Syria is pulling to the naval and air bases in Tartus and Khmeimim, where they largely binge-drink and engage in looting while waiting for evacuation.

That’s according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, Ukrinform reports.

“The remnants of the Russian military contingent are pulling from the most remote regions of Syria to the naval and air bases in Tartus and Khmeimim. Those who have reached the evacuation sites usually drink and loot while awaiting their flight. Four to five military cargo planes operate between Khmeimim and Russian airfields on a daily basis,” the report says.

To transport weapons and military equipment from Syria to the base in Tartus, the aggressor state employed the Ivan Gren and Alexandr Ostrakovsky ships that are now continuing their passage, currently being in the Norwegian Sea, in a few days scheduled to pass through the English Channel.

The Russian bulker Sparta, which departed from Baltiysk, is also heading to the Syrian port. The Sparta II vessel, which departed from St. Petersburg, is also set to be involved in transporting military equipment from the Arab republic.

The commander of the Russian contingent, Colonel General Alexander Chaiko, ordered the military equipment taken out of Syria to undergo maintenance.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russians have deployed a number of ships and military cargo aircraft to retreat from Syria and are counting on agreements with the forces currently in control for an unhindered exit from the country.
