Two more workers were injured.

Three staff members of the International Committee of the Red Cross were killed as a result of shelling by the Russian occupiers of Virolyubivka, Donetsk region. Dmytro Lubinets, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced this in his Telegram channel .

“Three citizens of Ukraine, full-time employees of the ICRC, were killed, two more workers were injured due to Russian shelling! The Russian artillery shelled the village of Virolyubivka in Donetsk region. The ICRC workers were in a truck transporting humanitarian aid,” he wrote.

Lubinets added that the shelling was already known, but “the ICRC, as well as the IFRC, are silent!”.

“No reaction, condemnation or expression of sympathy! Thus, this silence only covers up the criminal policy of the Russian Federation!” – emphasized the ombudsman.

He emphasized that the ICRC should officially and publicly recognize Russia’s violation of the norms of the Geneva Conventions.

“Does the ICRC really become completely indifferent even to the deaths of their own employees? How afraid are they to tell the truth?!” – wrote Lubinets.

In addition, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, wrote on his Telegram channel : “Another Russian war crime. Today, the occupier attacked the vehicles of the humanitarian mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Donetsk region. As of now, we know of two wounded people – they are being provided with all necessary assistance. Unfortunately, three people were killed by this Russian strike. My condolences to the family and friends.”

He noted that “everything is absolutely obvious in this war: Russia bears evil, Ukraine protects life.”

“And if someone wants to hear “both sides”, then in Russia it is perceived only as permission to continue killing,” the head of state added.

The President emphasized that the world should react firmly and principledly.

“You can’t remain indifferent – both countries and international organizations. Only together can the world force Russia to stop this terror and force Moscow to seek peace,” Zelenskyy wrote.
