Russian special services are frantically searching for “brazen Ukrainian partisans”: June Was Hell for the Occupiers

06/26/2025

In the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine, the FSB has launched a new round of hunting for “saboteurs” and “partisans.” Moreover, the activity of the Russian invaders has increased especially sharply in the Zaporizhia region.

What is happening now in the occupation – read the material on OBOZ.UA.

Explosive “hello” messages are becoming more and more frequent

This year, the first month of summer was marked by unusually cool weather, but it has already become very hot due to events in the occupied part of Ukraine. And here are just some of them.

On June 3, a strike was carried out on the largest substation in southern Ukraine, Melitopol-330, which is under Russian control and supplies electricity to most of the occupied part of the Zaporizhia region, as well as the Henichesky district of the Kherson region (also occupied).

The strike not only caused a large-scale blackout, but also undermined Russia’s plans to integrate the Zaporizhzhia NPP into its energy system.

Also, once again, the fears of the occupiers and their accomplices regarding inevitable punishment were justified – on June 18, traitor and war criminal Mykhailo Hrytsai was eliminated in Berdyansk, Zaporizhia region.

He is originally from Poltava region, and for some time he headed the branch of the “Socialist Ukraine” party in Berdyansk. After the occupation of the city by Russian invaders, he voluntarily collaborated with the enemy and received a bread position in the “administration”. Recently, Hrytsai held the position of “deputy mayor for infrastructure, housing and communal services, and the fuel and energy complex.”

According to military intelligence, Hrytsai actually plundered state property in the occupied city in the interests of the Russians. But that’s not all. He also “terrorized the population of the occupied city, betrayed pro-Ukrainian citizens to the Muscovites, and participated in organizing torture in the territory of Berdyansk.”

And only four days later, on June 22, the occupiers were struck by another emergency. On the railway section between Levadny and Molochansk in Zaporizhzhia region, a freight train with fuel intended for the needs of the Russian occupation forces was successfully attacked. This was achieved thanks to the work of soldiers of the special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Kabul 9” in cooperation with the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, the “Alpha” unit and the Next group of the State Special Communications Service.

By the way, this was at least the third successful strike on the logistics and supply of the occupiers in June in this direction.

Roundups after roundups

Both the liquidation of Gritsay and the effective strikes on various objects were very painfully perceived by the Russian invaders. And, of course, the FSB got it, which for several years of occupation of part of the region never managed (although it threatened, literally, to “destroy in the bud”) to suppress the resistance movement of Ukrainians . After all, it is largely thanks to the help of these desperately brave patriots that our Defense Forces succeed in such operations.

“The occupiers introduce the “Interception” plan to detain “saboteurs” after each emergency. They also allow their henchmen to spread information on social networks that Ukrainians are to blame for the “large-scale events being held ,” says an interlocutor of OBOZ.UA in the occupation.

By “measures” we mean raids on local residents, who in most cases have nothing to do with the partisans.

“Unfortunately, this is common practice. And the same FSB officers act in this way all the time, regardless of one or another “adventure”. Apparently, they need to show their effectiveness. A vivid example of this is that recently, the underage niece of my friends was detained “on suspicion”. I know that with great difficulty they managed to get the child out, but for money. And many people don’t even succeed in this,” said a resident of Melitopol.

One of the latest detentions in Zaporizhia region, which became known on June 24, concerns three suspects in an attempt to blow up a gas distribution network facility in Berdyansk . The FSB claims that they were caught red-handed. Whether this is true or not is unknown. However, one should not underestimate the enemy: although it is rare, underground members end up behind bars.

Roundups and raids to identify “accomplices” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military intelligence, and the Security Service of Ukraine have been taking place since the very beginning of the occupation of part of the Zaporizhzhia region in February 2022. All this time, the enemy has been persistently looking for those Ukrainians who have not come to terms with Russian “orders.” And he is doing everything to ensure that the new generation identifies itself as Russians. But that’s a completely different story.

  1. Partisan activities are happening in many parts of occupied Ukraine, but Melitopol is the hotbed. And, we’ve seen other times in which the cockroaches have gone hunting for these freedom fighters, always without success.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to its heroes!

  2. If Ukrainians haven’t yet joined the resistance, they may as well do so, as it will continue to get worse for the occupiers, and the orcs will attempt to amplify their oppression of the innocent.
