Russian scientists may lose access to 97% of scientific information.

This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov in Telegram.

“The Russian Federation is waiting for a scientific and information blockade. On the territory of the Russian Federation, legal access to the largest full-text collections of articles by publishers Elsevier, Springer / Nature, IOP Publishers and others, as well as to abstract databases Web of Science and Scopus, will soon be terminated,” he wrote.

Fedorov also said that the American company for licensing foreign doctors ECFMG refuses Russians to receive certificates. The ECFMG organization has blocked the personal accounts of those Russians who have already paid for services and have begun the process of passing certification in the American residency. The money in the account is displayed, but it can not be used.

In addition, the company Wargaming, which develops and publishes video games on the free-to-play MMO market, known for the development of World of Tanks, is leaving Russia and Belarus. Since March 31, the company has transferred its gaming business in Russia and Belarus to the local management of Lesta Studio, which is no longer affiliated with Wargaming. The company has also begun the process of closing its studio in Minsk.

Recall that earlier the Ministry of Digital Development told how Elon Musk’s Internet Starlink will help Ukrainians in the war. The department emphasized that not every Ukrainian will be able to connect to the StarLink Internet.
