The Russian invaders hit the Burshtynska thermal power plant in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a fire broke out there.

This was announced in her Telegram channel by the chairman of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional military administration Svetlana Onishchuk.

“Today, our region was again subjected to rocket attacks. There was a hit on the Burshtyn thermal power plant, which resulted in a fire. All services are working, rescuers are on the spot,” she said.

Onischuk also stated that there were no casualties as a result of this shelling.

The chairman of the OVA added that the road near the Burshtynska thermal power plant was blocked for the time being, but a detour was organized through the surrounding villages.

In addition, she called on residents of the region to limit the use of electricity from 17:00 to 23:00.

Later, Onischuk said that the fire at the Burshtyn TPP had already been extinguished.

Russian strikes on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure

As UNIAN reported earlier, on the morning of October 10, Russian invaders carried out attacks on a number of regions of Ukraine . In particular, to Vinnitsa, Lvov, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Poltava, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Kyiv regions and Kyiv. Hits were recorded on critical infrastructure facilities, in particular, the invaders hit the open switchgear of the Burshtyn TPP.

On October 18, as a result of the shelling of the invaders, a critical infrastructure facility in the  Desnyansky district of the capital was damaged .
