Russian refineries saved, Ukrainian cities will continue to burn: expert on talks in Riyadh

As a reward for its audacity, Russia will receive relief from sanctions against its agriculture, fertilizer production, and fisheries.

Yesterday’s agreements between Russia and the US are bad news, because the aggressor has actually received concessions for itself and the opportunity to continue terror, British financier Bill Browder said in a comment to Sky News .

According to him, those who welcome the agreements between the US and Russia are “completely missing the point” of this agreement.

“Russia can continue to strike civilian targets like hospitals, schools, and residential buildings, and I’m sure they will. And by getting this concession [on banning energy strikes], it saves Russia’s oil refineries, which are one of the key engines of financing their war,” the financier says.

As Browder emphasized, exempting Russia from part of the sanctions, as provided for by the agreements, “is hardly an appropriate response to a country that has killed tens of thousands of innocent Ukrainians and caused trillions of dollars in damage.”

“There is absolutely nothing to celebrate here,” he added.
