Russian rebels helped the Defense Forces attack a refinery in the Leningrad region

Russia’s second-largest refinery suffered significant damage.

Local rebels were involved in the attack on a powerful Russian oil refinery in the Leningrad region. Oil processing equipment was hit at the plant. The Special Operations Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook .

It is reported that on the night of October 4, Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the Russian rebel movement “Chernaya Iskra”, struck the Kirishinefteorgsintez oil refinery. The SFO and representatives of “Chernaya Iskra” coordinated their actions during the planning of the operation.

As a result, the LAB-LABS (a linear alkylbenzene and linear alkylaromatic sulfonate production facility) and ELOU-AVT-6 (a water, salt, and primary oil processing facility) were damaged. The Special Operations Forces noted that this critical enterprise for the enemy is on fire for the third time in 2025.
