Russian pro-war blogger Alexander Gorny has posted a frank and emotional message about the deteriorating situation in Crimea, urging residents to brace for even tougher times ahead.
Gorny, a well-known Russian blogger and outspoken supporter of the Kremlin’s war, expressed his concerns on his Facebook account early on July 26. In his post, he painted a bleak picture of life on the peninsula, insisting conditions were only getting worse. You can read his original post here.

“The situation in Crimea can only be described as horrific… Residents have started adapting and are beginning to ask the right questions. But then others jump in, shouting: ‘Don’t make things worse! Don’t work for the enemy! Victory will be ours!’ What victory?
I don’t know about them, but here, everything is already falling apart. Gas costs 250, the economy and tourism have come to a halt, half of Crimea has no electricity or water, prices have soared by one and a half to two times, and people are spending their last money-some on generators, for which you can’t even buy fuel… Victory? Did we win, or were we beaten?” the patriotic blogger wrote.
Gorny also noted that calls are circulating in local forums for residents to chip in for air defense systems, as locals have lost faith in Moscow’s ability to protect the region.
“And through all of this, Moscow remains silent. There’s no information! The only sources we have are enemy Telegram channels… What should we prepare for? This question is on everyone’s mind. And it’s certainly nothing good,” he concluded.
