According to Kostyantin Krivolap, this complex cannot “bachiti” a UAV.

The Russian self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system (ZRGK) ” Pantsir-S1 ” is not capable of working against Ukrainian drones, since it does not “see” them. This was stated by aviation expert Konstantin Krivolap on Kiev24, commenting on the attacks on oil refineries in Russia.

“The defeat of refineries and oil depots is the absolutely correct and correct path that we will follow. Russia will not be able to protect all these systems – they do not have the means to properly fight drones,” the expert said.

He also explained the concept of Russian air defense and what targets it can hit.

“We made the S-300/S-400 system, which is medium and long range. It will supposedly deal with cruise and ballistic missiles. And the Pantsir complex will deal with UAVs and low-altitude targets. The Pantsir has both small missiles and artillery weapons. But it turned out that the Pantsir is not able to work against small “reconnaissance” vehicles or UAVs that transport 50 kg of explosives to the required point in space, it does not “see” them. And it is clear that the S-300 and S-400. They don’t see either. That’s why the Russians now have nothing at all (to shoot down drones – UNIAN). They started using electronic warfare, but we have learned to overcome them,” Krivolap explained.

In addition, the expert noted that attacks on enemy refineries affect the attitude of Western partners.

“It turned out that attacks on oil refineries affect not only Putin, but also the Russian economy and fuel supplies. This has a very significant impact on the attitude of our partners towards the issue of supplying us with weapons, on resolving the question: can we strike on Russian territory. This has a very significant impact serious impact,” he added.

As UNIAN reported, in the Russian Bashkortostan, a drone of the Security Service of Ukraine hit another oil refinery , this time Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat.

The drone hit an oil catalytic cracking unit. “It was a Security Service drone that set a historical record, covering a distance of 1,500 km,” a UNIAN source noted.

It is known that Gazprom neftekhim Salavat is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical production complexes in Russia. This refinery specializes in the production of gasoline, diesel fuel and other types of petroleum products.
