Russian Oil Industry Spirals As Ukraine Expands Strikes

Jay in Kyiv

Ukraine’s continued strikes on Russia’s oil industry are dismantling the foundation of Putin’s war economy. Refineries are burning, exports collapsing, and Moscow’s energy revenues shrinking with every passing week. As the oil sector implodes, the broader Russian economy is spinning out of control — the ruble weakening, deficits widening, and oligarchs positioning themselves to loot what remains of the banking system.

Inside Russia, the collapse is mirrored in culture: a country consumed by propaganda, where art and media now glorify violence and preach genocide. What began as a war of aggression has become a national psychosis.

This is the story of an empire in economic freefall and moral ruin — undone by Ukraine’s precision strikes and its own corruption.

  1. The featured image says it all. Huge profits in the last quarter for Chevron, Exxon, Shell and Total. All down to Ukraine destroying oil refineries in mafia land. I’m just waiting for TACO to start prancing around saying he’s responsible for making huge profits for his oil buddies.
