The mayor of the capital reported explosions in three districts of the city.
On Saturday, December 31, 2022, Russia launched a massive attack on a number of cities in Ukraine, Kyiv among them. Residents of the capital heard a series of powerful explosions.
Information about the explosions in his Telegram channel was confirmed by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko. He urged to remain in shelters until the end of the alarm.
“One of the explosions thundered between residential buildings in the Solomensky district of the capital. All services are on the way. Details later,” he wrote.
In addition, explosions took place in the Pechersky and Goloseevsky districts of the capital, Klitschko added later. “Explosions also occurred in the Pechersky district and Goloseevsky. There is destruction. Rescuers and doctors are on the way,” his message says.
