On July 12, explosions thundered in Mariupol. It is possible that the area of the airport was hit.

“It’s loud in Mariupol! Local publics report the work of air defense. According to Mariupol residents, explosions were heard in the Primorsky district. A column of smoke rose behind Flotskaya Street. They also report the sounds of explosions outside the city,” the message says.
According to preliminary information, the possible hit occurred in the area of the airport.
The “Mariupol. Resistance” group reported that six explosions thundered.
“There were explosions just now — five explosions. And the airfield is burning,” an eyewitness from the scene said.
“It is reported that the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government Marat Khusnullin and the leader of the so-called DPR Denis Pushilin were recently there. Occupation sources report the alleged “interception of 5 HIMARS missiles”. However, judging by the smoke, the reality is completely different,” the city council added.
It is worth noting that Khusnullin did publish a photo from Mariupol on the morning of July 12. He confirmed that he was in the city with Pushilin and the representative of the occupation authorities of the Donetsk region, Yevgeny Solntsev.

Sir OFP I thought HIMARS weren’t as effective due to orcs doing something, but what I’ve seen recently is the HIMARS are hitting their target. What am I missing?
I think it depends a lot on what sort of EW is working in a given area or not. Maybe Ukraine can detect such systems and thus refrain from using HIMARS or other GPS-guided munitions, and when they are not working or only weak ones are present, then they use HIMARS and etc. It’s anyone’s guess as to why we see contradictory info. Bottom line is that a lot is too secret to make public announcements about them.

Yes the Himars were intercepted, by the target they were aimed at.

I keep hearing the orcs claiming they have developed EW to stop these Himars. I think it needs some more work doing on it. 😂
