Russian military aircraft are believed to have violated Finnish airspace. The country is investigating.
This was reported by the Finnish Ministry of Defense, Censor.NET reports .
It is noted that the country’s airspace may have been violated on May 23 near the southern city of Porvoo, 130 kilometers from the border with Russia, in the afternoon.
“We take the suspicion of a border violation seriously and are investigating,” said Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkanen.
The country’s Border Guard Service is investigating the incident and will provide additional information as the investigation progresses.
