During a UAV attack in the Volgograd Oblast of Russian Federation on March 8, two drones crashed on the territory of a military unit in the village of Kotluban, where a military arsenal is located, reported Russian Telegram channel Astra on March 11.
According reports, one of the drones exploded after crashing. There is no information about damage. Russians also claim that there were no casualties.
On March 9, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on “successful destruction” of three drones over the Volgograd Oblast.
Astra notes that the military base in Kotluban is a large arsenal for integrated storage of ammunition. In particular, the arsenal of the Main Missile Artillery Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry is located here.
The base has been attacked several times by UAVs. On Nov. 16, a large-scale fire broke out there due to a drone attack. The same unit was attacked by UAVs again on Nov. 24.
