Last night, the Saratov region of Russia was subjected to a massive UAV attack, as a result of which an oil depot in Engels was hit.

According to local residents, at least 40 explosions thundered in the city; later, videos of a major fire at an oil depot began to be posted on social networks.

The authorities of the Saratov region also subsequently confirmed the hit. According to the governor, air defense shot down the drones, but the debris fell on an “industrial facility.” Firefighters and emergency services are currently working on the scene.

According to preliminary information, one of the tanks at the Rosrezerv Kristall oil depot, which is used to store aviation fuel supplied to the Engels-2 airbase, was damaged.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 11 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down over the Saratov region, four each over the Kursk and Rostov regions, three each over the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, two over the Krasnodar region, one over the Volgograd region, and four over the waters of the Sea of ​​Azov.

Thus, in early December, drones attacked the military airfield  “Engels-2” , where strategic bombers are located, launching missiles at the territory of Ukraine.

Earlier, GUR drones also attacked  the Saratov Oil Refinery .
