On the night of August 9, the Russian occupation army attacked the Ukrainian checkpoint “Starokozache”, located on the border with Moldova in the Odessa region. As a result of the attack, there are dead and wounded.

This was reported by the press service of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. “Tonight, Russian drones once again attacked border infrastructure. This time, the enemy directed the strike weapons at the international checkpoint for automobile traffic “Starokozache”, which is on the border with Moldova,” the department said.

It is noted that there are casualties and deaths among the civilian population who were near the checkpoint.

According to the press service of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region, the attack damaged buildings, destroyed passenger buses, trucks and cars. A large-scale fire broke out.

On the night of August 25, a UAV struck the international checkpoint “Vynohradivka”, located on the border with Moldova – the infrastructure was damaged – the passage of citizens and vehicles through this checkpoint had to be suspended. Earlier – on August 21 – the Russians attacked the territories of Bolgrad and Izmail districts with “Shakheds” – the infrastructure of the checkpoint “Tabaky” was hit , where buildings and structures were damaged, fires broke out.
