Russian drone flies into Romania during attack on Ukraine

On the night of April 17, during the massive shelling of Ukraine, one of the russian drones crossed Romanian airspace, after which it disappeared from radar.

This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

According to the agency, during the attack near the Ukrainian-Romanian border, air defense systems recorded two air targets. “One of them entered Romanian airspace,” the ministry noted.

They specified that radar contact with the drone was lost approximately 16 km southeast of the village of Chilia Veche in Tulcea County – over uninhabited territory.

The Ministry of Defense added that in the morning the military will begin a search operation in the area of the probable crash of the drone.

The department also reacted sharply to the incident, emphasizing that “such actions by russia threaten regional security and are a serious violation of international law.”

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 16, the russian federation attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones, there were deaths and injuries in 5 districts of the capital.

  1. Amazing how Ukraine can track hundreds of drones sent from mafia land, yet NATO can’t even keep track of one.

  2. And what is NATO good for when even a simple drone can’t get intercepted and/or shot down???
