Russian commanders shoot wounded subordinates in front of other soldiers.

Lyudmila Denisova, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, told  LB.ua about this.

According to Denisova, captured soldiers told her about the amazing facts of executions in a personal conversation.

“In Kyiv, I saw with my own eyes 34 prisoners of war – 24 privates and 10 officers. I personally spoke with them. According to the Geneva Convention, officers and privates must be kept separately. Therefore, they are in two cells of 24 and 10 people,” Denisova said. .

The Ombudswoman noted that she was struck by the appearance of the military “the second army of the world.” Some of the soldiers were wearing rubber boots. 

“One of the soldiers told terrible things about the attitude of their own commanders towards them. He says that when they were ambushed, something exploded and everyone fled. Only one tank unit gathered together. Their commander, a lieutenant colonel, saw a soldier wounded in the leg and shot him with the words: “Wounded horses are shot,” Denisova said.

The soldier who witnessed this murder went into hiding for several days and then surrendered to the Ukrainian defenders.

Earlier, Lyudmila Denisova spoke about the cost of maintaining one Russian prisoner for Ukraine. Earlier, this information was published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, however, they did not name a specific figure.
