The Russian army has completed the capture of a semi-cauldron around Kurakhovka in the Donetsk region, reports BILD military analyst Julian Röpke.

According to him, in early October, Russian troops broke through from Maryinka and reached the shores of the Kurakhovskoye Reservoir. To the north, they captured the city of Ukrainka. Between these two directions, a semi-cauldron was formed with the center in the village of Kurakhovka.

Now the Russian Armed Forces have completely captured it, Röpke claims. According to the analyst, in two weeks the occupiers captured six villages there – that’s about 50 square kilometers of territory.

In addition, the Russian army is approaching the Kurakhovo Reservoir from the southwest, from near Ugledar. Röpke claims that about 200 square kilometers of territory and five villages have been captured there in two weeks. The front line is currently near the village of Maksimovka, 15 kilometers from the reservoir and the city of Kurakhovo. In the southeastern direction, the occupiers have captured the village of Katerinovka, 12 kilometers from Kurakhovo.
