Russia will transport fuel to Crimea by civilian trucks due to Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on logistics, – Voloshyn

The command of the Russian military group “Dnepr” ordered the use of civilian transport to deliver fuel along the route between Rostov-on-Don and occupied Crimea .

This was reported by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform .

Fuel dispensers at a gas station, with a yellow sign indicating 'not working' and a red sign indicating 'no' for a specific fuel type.

Fuel will be delivered via the Rostov-on-Don – Crimea route

“In the Dnieper group of troops (Russia – Ed.) the command gave an order to use civilian transport to transport fuel along the R-280 highway (the highway connects Rostov-on-Don with temporarily occupied Crimea, – Ed.). After all, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are hitting fuel trucks, and fuel is not reaching the Russian units,” he said.

Confiscated civilian transport is being used for transportation

Voloshin clarified that to transport fuel, the Russians will use confiscated vehicles that they took from civilian transport companies, transport services, and the post office, as well as grain trucks, trucks for food and medicine.

“They will be loaded with canisters from 20 to 1,000 liters. Drivers of such vehicles are prohibited from wearing military uniforms,” he noted.

The spokesman emphasized that this is a deliberate use of civilian infrastructure for military purposes, disguising supply logistics as civilian traffic.

“So this is another violation of the rules of warfare,” he said. Ð”жерело: https://censor.net/ua/n4007053

  1. Ukraine just need to issue a warning that any vehicle seen on this road will be treated as military. That will stop the inevitable whining about Ukraine attacking civilians.
