State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that “Russia will not fight with Ukraine,” but this “does not suit Washington, which is doing everything to push our states against each other.”
“Russia and Ukraine need peace. The US and European countries do not need a nuclear war. Let’s start from that. Any dialogue is always better. It must be built on the principles of mutual respect, defending the interests of its citizens,” Volodin wrote in his telegram.
With this post, Volodin commented on the words of Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, who asked on Russian television why members of the Ukrainian parliament did not go to Moscow for negotiations with their Russian colleagues.
“The sooner the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada realize this and support the proposal of Viktor Medvedchuk, the better it will be for everyone,” the speaker of the State Duma emphasized.
Russia has been amassing troops to the Ukrainian borders for several months now. The West assumes that Russia is preparing an attack on Ukraine. Moscow categorically denies this, explaining the transfer of troops by exercises. Western countries, in turn, say they will accept sanctions if Russian troops start invading a neighboring country.

“Russia will not fight with Ukraine,”
Too late for that you tosser, maybe you should have thought about that 8 years ago.
Well, if Russia backs down, I’d certainly appreciate that, and I can meet my Ukrainian fiancée without the threat of looming war. But does Washington DC want war with Russia? I wouldn’t have expected that, but I’m wondering now, if biden wants a distraction from his poor performance as a president. Depending on which poll you check, the approval rate of biden is anywhere from %20 to 40%. Maybe he wants a spin doctor to come down to Earth with a carefully crafted “Wag the Dog” scheme like the movie.
I am in the same boat as you. However, isn’t it a bit naive to think that the US wants a war when it is Russia with 120,000 troops plus all the necessary gear at Ukraine’s throat, ready at any time to squeeze? Biden could easily reverse some of his horrid decisions that brought him those bad poll numbers. He doesn’t need a war. He requires the courage to admit his mistakes and to fix them.
Congratulations! Several of us here are or were in your position. I’m excited for you. I’m with Facts who responded to you. Biden and even the general American are not pushing for war. Those are typical Russian propaganda talking points. They are so miserable that the media take upon themselves to imply that the whole world is against them and oh woe is me! Truth is, probably nobody but China would even want Russia.
“Russia will not fight with Ukraine,” but this “does not suit Washington, which is doing everything to push our states against each other.”
So says a crime syndicate that has placed 120,000 troops and tanks and artillery, field hospitals, supply trains near Ukrainian borders in both mafia lands (the Russia and Belarus).
Never believe what a Ruskie says and always assume the opposite.
