Russia will not discuss the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine in any format, – Russian Foreign Ministry

Russia has no intention of discussing the idea of deploying foreign troops in Ukraine in any format, calling it “unacceptable foreign intervention.”

As Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

Zakharova gave a briefing. As always, she did not miss the topic of Ukraine, commenting to the press on the EU’s plans for the possible dispatch of troops as part of providing security guarantees.

“Russia is not going to discuss a fundamentally unacceptable and security-undermining foreign intervention in Ukraine. This needs to be brought to their attention (the West. – Ed.) somehow, so that the next time they want to think about this topic, they have a clue in the form of the Russian position,” she commented on the EU’s plans for a possible deployment of troops to Ukraine within the framework of security guarantees.

According to her, the security guarantees requested by Ukraine for itself will become “guarantees of danger” for the European continent.

Zakharova also commented on Washington’s approval of a possible deal to sell missiles and other weapons to Ukraine. She claims that such a decision allegedly contradicts the White House’s words about resolving the situation between Russia and Ukraine.
