Now, Russians will be unable to install Starlink terminals not only on drones but also for ground-based communications.
SpaceX has taken emergency measures to prevent the use of Starlink satellite communications terminals on Russian drones. A systemic solution will soon be implemented that will completely prevent the occupiers from using this technology, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced on Telegram .

As the head of the defense department notes, the first steps Ukraine took jointly with Starlink have already “yielded rapid results in the fight against Russian drones.”
According to him, the next step is the implementation of a system that will allow only authorized terminals to operate in Ukraine.
“In the coming days, we will publish instructions for Ukrainian users on how to register Starlink for verification. Unverified terminals will be disabled,” Fedorov emphasized.
He notes that the registration process will be simple, fast, and user-friendly. Detailed instructions are expected to be published soon.
“Thank you to Starlink and SpaceX for their cooperation and proactive stance in supporting Ukrainians,” the statement reads.

If Ivan Muskovy is behind this decision, then credit where credit’s due.
He did support Ukraine in early 2022, but then went full putler.
Is he reverting to his earlier position?
We will see ……
For me it’s also a bit of a mystery as to why he’s being so cooperative.
At any rate, I hope this is not only a temporary condition with Starlink.
