One of the world’s largest financial corporations, Morgan Stanley, predicts Russia’s default. It is expected in mid-April, when the 30-day grace period for dollar bonds maturing in 2023 and 2043 ends.

 Bloomberg writes about it .

“We see a default as the most likely scenario. It is unlikely to look like a normal default, and Venezuela is perhaps the most appropriate comparison,” the report said. 

According to Morgan Stanley, there is uncertainty about whether US banks will be able to accept coupon payments from the Russian Treasury. 

Recall that Russian oligarchs are losing billions of dollars because of the war with Ukraine . This was reported by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Vagit Alekperov and Alexei Mordashov suffered the most.
