Americans even bet 50% that this could happen.
Russian General Sergei Surovikin considered the possibility of launching a tactical nuclear strike on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in October 2022 to stop their advance across the Dnieper River, according to an intercepted conversation by the American side.

Until that point, US intelligence had estimated the probability of such an outcome at 5-10%, but the risk soon rose to 50 percent, writes The New York Times .
Meanwhile, the US continued to assist Ukraine with intelligence, insisting on continuing the offensive in the south. At the same time, media reports say that Joe Biden’s advisers were wondering whether they should put pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces to “slow down” their advance.
In addition, the material states that it was then that Ukrainian servicemen had a chance to deliver a “critical blow” to Russia. Kherson and the entire right bank of the Kherson region were liberated. However, the further offensive was stopped allegedly due to a “lack of ammunition.”

Biden reduced the delivery of ammo, so Russia would not use nukes………………………
I didn’t see anything suggesting that above, nor in the NY Times article.

Nope, they just allowed mafia land to build up their defences in the South. Ukraine had the orcs on the run, just as they did in Kharkiv. It too coincidental that both operations suddenly stopped.
I just posted (in reply to Sir Veth) an unlocked link to the NY Times article

It’s rather long; here’s an unlocked link to a summary of the investigation:

Thanks for the links to the interesting article.
I think we mentioned before the possibility of a covert cooperation between Ukraine and America. This doesn’t surprise me. I think at least the British are also doing this, and maybe others, too.
