Silicon Bites Ep379 | 2026-08-05 | Twenty-eight ballistic missiles over Kyiv. Zero stopped. Seventeen dead. And a West that has run out of interceptors, run out of urgency, and run out of excuses. Have we also run out of compassion? Run out of political capacity to defend ourselves and our allies, run dry of strategic clarity to see and oppose our enemies – those that would seek to destroy is – and run out of any sense of geopolitical morality enough to care? There is a slaughter taking place daily, nightly in Ukraine, on our watch, enabled by our inaction and weakness. And the consequences may soon be a full-scale genocide and ecocide that we are allowing, enabling.

Many analysts have claimed that Trump, Xi and putler want to divide the world into spheres of influence. First the US ditch all support for Ukraine, secondly they start a stupid war in Iran and are in no position to stop China attacking Taiwan. Lastly, Trump is threatening to invade European countries. Are the analysts wrong?
History will never forget that the West was not brave, not smart, and not decisive during this war. Its collective leaders will have a big, black splotch attached to them for all time to come. Even the orange gangster in the WHite House will be smeared with blackness. Especially him.
