Sergei Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, has accused the United States of hindering Moscow’s talks with Ukraine aimed at ending the almost month-long war.
“The talks are tough, the Ukrainian side constantly changes its position. It’s hard to avoid the impression that our American colleagues are holding their hand,” Mr Lavrov told students in Moscow.
He claimed that the US “apparently wants to keep us in a state of military action as long as possible”.
Mr Lavrov added that if Western nations send peacekeepers to Ukraine it may lead to direct confrontation between Russia and Nato, after Poland proposed sending an international mission last week.

About the only way biden “has his hands in this,” is because he’s wringing them from afar and making a show of how he tried warning about putin being a “bad man,” or a “meanie.”
If putin tries saying that Zelensky is biden’s “puppet,” then we might as well ask where the American troops are! As an American, I’m angry that biden is doing so little! Even though he’d be an ally, he’s too scared about the USA’s military getting bogged down like Russia, and the public here thinking it’s a waste of taxpayer money for something “outside” of the United State’s involvement.
