The Russian Foreign Ministry reported on the results of negotiations between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and warned of the consequences if Russia’s demands were ignored.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on Facebook.

“Further ignoring the legitimate concerns of the Russian Federation, related primarily to the military development by the United States and its NATO allies of the territory of Ukraine, which continues against the backdrop of a large-scale deployment of forces and assets of the Alliance near our borders, will have the most serious consequences,” the Russian ministry said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that this could be avoided if Washington reacts positively to Russian draft agreements on security guarantees, which the US plans to send next week.

Also, the Russian Federation once again remembered the “internal Ukrainian conflict” and stated the need to establish a direct dialogue with the occupation authorities of the “L/DPR”.

In addition, the ministry stressed that Russia’s relations with the United States are in an unsatisfactory state. 

Recall, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that as early as next week, Russia will receive in writing answers to its “security proposals”, which, among other things, demand not to accept Ukraine into NATO.

He clarified that the ideas and reactions regarding the concerns that the Russian Federation had previously expressed will be reflected on paper, but the concerns of the United States and European allies and partners will also be reflected.
