There are numerous fires and destruction in the city.

On the night of January 24, Russians launched a Shahed missile attack on Kharkiv , resulting in 31 injuries, including a pregnant woman and children.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office released these figures . “The number of casualties as a result of the overnight enemy attack in Kharkiv has risen to 31. Among them are two children: a 12-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

City Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that two districts—Industrialny and Nemishlyansky—were hit. Apartments in high-rise buildings there burned, and a dormitory housing displaced persons, a hospital, and a maternity hospital were destroyed.

“According to preliminary information, a building was hit and an apartment caught fire in the Industrial District. We have information about another hit in a residential building. People are trapped in a five-story building as a result of a Shahed strike,” the mayor reported.

According to Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, two women were injured and required medical attention.

“A 74-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of the enemy attack on Kharkiv. A 25-year-old pregnant woman was also injured,” he wrote.

A Shahed missile also hit a private home in the Nemyshlyansky district. Terekhov noted that the homeowner was injured in the shelling. Many neighboring houses were also damaged.

“As a result of the hits in the Industrial District, a dormitory housing displaced persons, a hospital, and a maternity hospital were damaged,” Terekhov reported.

The mayor reported that the occupiers attacked Kharkiv for almost 2.5 hours, using 25 Shahed rockets:

“Apartments were burning. Houses were burning. There are wounded. There are those who lost their homes last night. This was a deliberate attack on a peaceful city – on people who simply live, work, and raise children.”
