Russia strikes massive blow at Odessa: large-scale fires break out in port (video)

As a result of the hits, large-scale fires broke out in the port infrastructure.

On the night of March 7, the Russian occupation army launched a massive attack on Odessa and the Odessa region, resulting in large-scale fires.

As reported by the head of the Odessa city military administration, Serhiy Lysak, the enemy massively attacked the regional center, and hits were recorded on an infrastructure facility. According to the official, there was no information about casualties or damage to residential buildings in the city.

At the same time, the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that at night Russia sent strike drones to Odessa and the region.

“As a result of the hits, large-scale fires broke out in the port infrastructure. Fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries. More than 80 rescuers and 20 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack,” the press service said.Read also:

As specified by the state enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration”, as a result of a massive night attack by the enemy, the infrastructure of the ports of the Odessa region was damaged. Fires and damage to cargo storage tanks, including oil, as well as administrative and technical buildings were recorded. Currently, damage to port infrastructure is being recorded in the region.

According to Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, a fire broke out in tanks with vegetable oil and damaged a grain warehouse, and infrastructure was damaged in another port.
