Russia strikes Kupyansk, hitting near market: there are casualties

Initially, two deaths were reported, but the information was not confirmed.

The number of victims of the Russian occupiers’ air strike on the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region has risen to nine. This was reported on his Telegram channel by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov.

At first he stated that at around 10:00 the enemy struck Kupyansk, hitting near a store and a market.

“Unfortunately, there are casualties, two as preliminary figures. At least three are injured. Emergency services are working on the scene, the data is being updated,” he wrote.

Subsequently, the head of the OVA reported that the information about those killed in Kupyansk was not confirmed.

“A woman in serious condition was freed from under the rubble. As a result of the air strike, four people were initially injured,” Sinegubov noted.

He also added that a two-story commercial building was partially destroyed, 12 retail kiosks and the glazing of windows in non-residential buildings were damaged.

Later, the head of the OVA noted that the number of casualties as a result of the airstrike had risen to nine.

“The injured range in age from 40 to 71. Four people were hospitalized. Among them, one person is in serious condition, three are in average condition. The information is being updated,” Sinegubov wrote.

Damage to railway tracks between Nikolaev and Kherson due to Russian shelling

Today, October 24, Ukrzaliznytsia announced that as a result of enemy shelling, railway tracks were damaged in the section between Nikolaev and Kherson.

All 78 passengers who were heading to Kherson and were forced to stop in Nikolaev were transferred by railway workers together with the Kherson OVA to buses in Nikolaev and taken to the city.

Railway workers have also already completed the restoration of the damaged track, and trains will operate on schedule.
