Russia ‘s military buildup  near Ukraine continues and this time has expanded to include blood supplies along with other medical supplies that would allow care for Russian wounded.

This is another key indicator of Moscow’s military readiness, three US officials told Reuters .

Current and former US officials told reporters that specific indicators, such as blood supplies, are critical to Moscow’s understanding of its readiness to invade Ukraine if Russian President Vladimir Putin chooses to do so.

The Pentagon has previously recognized the deployment of “medical support” as part of Russia’s capacity building. But the disclosure of blood supply shipments adds a level of detail that experts say is critical to determining Russia’s military readiness.

“It doesn’t guarantee there will be another attack, but you won’t carry out another attack if you don’t have it in your hands,” said Ben Hodges, a retired US Lieutenant General who now works at the Center for Analysis Research Institute. European politics.

The three US officials who spoke about the blood shipments declined to say exactly when the US discovered they had been moved to formations near Ukraine, but two of them said it had happened in recent weeks.

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky assessed the likelihood of a Russian invasion. He stressed that it is necessary to speak out very carefully, that “tomorrow there will be a war.”

    • Yeah, Ukrainian media debunked this story right off. Why would they waste money on all that medical support when they ordered farmers in Rostov to prepare mass graves. But that could be bunk too.
