Russian propagandists complained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counterattacks had undermined the Russian Federation’s ability to conduct offensive operations in 2026. Russians also panicked about the possibility of Ukraine inflicting increasing damage on Russia with long-range strikes.
At the same time, Russia is saying that Putin’s army should focus on capturing Sloviansk and Kramatorsk to achieve “victory,” according to an analysis by the Institute for the Study of War.
Russians are having a new panic attack
Ukraine’s operational and strategic capabilities to inflict increasing damage on Russia are causing growing alarm in the Russian ultranationalist media. One propagandist has suddenly realized that the West’s economic potential is orders of magnitude greater than Russia’s, and this is becoming evident militarily, as Western-backed Ukrainian drone strikes on Russia increasingly involve hundreds of drones.
The propagandist argued that the scale of such strikes would only grow, and that Russia could not produce enough interceptor missiles to compete with the economic potential of the West. In this context, the Russian Federation stated that the Kremlin was “doomed to defeat” and was forced to immediately “solve the problem of ending the war.”
The commentator argued that Russia must either agree to a “shameful peace” or decisively defeat Ukraine through a strategic offensive, but the Russian leadership is politically unprepared for such an offensive and is therefore already working on a “shameful peace.”
ISW noted that the statements came against the backdrop of Ukraine’s recent successful attacks on Russian oil infrastructure in the Baltic Sea, which have a significant impact on the Russian economy.
Problems of the occupiers at the front
Russian advocates of war in the information space are beginning to acknowledge Ukraine’s successes on the front lines, its medium-range strike campaign, and its adaptation of drones. A prominent Russian propagandist who writes on military topics complained on March 26 that the occupiers will not be able to change the unfavorable situation on the battlefield in the coming months and that Ukraine’s “fairly successful” counterattacks have undermined Russia’s ability to conduct offensive operations in 2026.
Russian supporters of information warfare are also increasingly questioning the Russian Federation’s ability to conduct offensive operations in 2026. The Russians also acknowledge the success of Ukraine’s medium-range campaign to disrupt Russian logistics “tens of kilometers” from the front line and note that Putin’s forces are suffering from significant communication problems due to the Starlink blockade on February 1 and the lack of electronic warfare (EW) systems.
Propagandists have realized that Russian troops will not be able to break through the front line or hold it by relying solely on personnel. The military blogger’s criticism comes amid recent complaints by prominent military bloggers about Russia’s problems on the battlefield and Russia’s increased efforts to combat the information space.

OBOZ.UA previously wrote that the Defense Forces’ plans for 2026 are a strategic defensive operation with simultaneous counteroffensive actions on separate sections of the front. Ukraine wants to exhaust the Russian Armed Forces and create more favorable conditions for its own large-scale operations.

“The propagandist argued that the scale of such strikes would only grow, and that Russia could not produce enough interceptor missiles to compete with the economic potential of the West.”
This is true. As the production of drones comes to a start and runs smoothly in Western countries, Ukraine’s attacks on the mafia state will only increase, and so will the attacks on the cockroaches along the frontline.
“Ukraine wants to exhaust the Russian Armed Forces and create more favorable conditions for its own large-scale operations.”
It’s the only way forward.
Much more help is needed.
More Ukrainians MUST now enter the fight. Otherwise why would anyone else volunteer?
