The monument of Glory in the Ukrainian city was completely dismantled on July 23, by the decision of the city council
Russia’s Foreign Ministry responded to the dismantling of the Monument of Glory in Lviv. The diplomatic office called this step “an act of state vandalism”. Aleksandr Bikantov, a senior official in the Russian Foreign Ministry said that as cited by the authority’s press office.
The Russian side condemned the actions of Lviv city council, which made the respective decision and urged the Ukrainian government to “live up to commitments in terms of protection of monuments, according to Ukraine’s national legal framework and international agreements – including the Agreement on perpetuation of memory of courage and heroism of the peoples of CIS member states that participated in the Soviet-Nazi war of 1941-1945”.Related: Ukrainian lawmakers support bill on de-Sovietization of legislation of Ukraine
The monument of Glory in the Ukrainian city was completely dismantled on July 23, by the decision of the city council. The last two statues from the monument were taken to the museum called “Territory of Terror”, which tells its visitors the story of the Soviet occupation of Western Ukraine.
The Soviet monument will be replaced by the square of memory of Heroes of Ukraine.

I suggest Muscovy keep their fucking nose out of Ukrainian affairs, they will decide what is vandalism, and what is cleaning unwanted shit from the street. Just wondering why it took Lviv so long to demolish this crap, it’s not exactly a Russian friendly place.
Oh c’mon Sir Foccusser, the ruSSo-mafia don’t interfere in other country’s affairs….lol…
If they think they are outraged by this move just wait until they see what is going to replace it, a big statue of a Ukrainian soldier defending against the imperialist fascists from Moskovia. After all, the nazis from Moskovia did more damage to Ukraine than the nazis from Germany.
I always enjoy it when the cesspool chunks in the Kremlin get outraged. Good job, Lviv!
“…the monument were taken to the museum called “Territory of Terror”
That should do the trick!
Bhaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
In the future there should be a nasty hole in the ground called ‘the snake pit of hate’. It should contain carved snakes with the heads of putler and his murder gang.
It’s a great city. Pretty looking with a lovely central square, great coffee, chocolate and patriotic people. All Ukraine should take a leaf out of Lviv’s book and never be shy about paying tribute to Taras Shevschenko and Stepan Bandera. The latter being a hate figure for the putinazis. Remember this rule: the more those fucks hate you, the greater you are.
With any luck the outraged sad cases will have a Stroke.
