Russia must be condemned for the war crimes committed in Ukraine and the destruction caused by aggression.

Russia must answer for the war crimes and destruction the occupying forces have caused in Ukraine and pay between $750 billion and $1 trillion in reparations to rebuild Ukraine .

This was stated by the former US Ambassador to Ukraine, Vice President of the US Institute for Peace William Taylor during the first parliamentary summit of the international Crimean platform.

“Russia must be condemned. There must be a tribunal, reparations. $750 billion or even up to a trillion dollars must be paid in order to restore Ukraine, and at least $300 billion of them must come from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, which are in the banks of the G7 countries ‘ Taylor added.

In his opinion, the G7 countries should work on this issue.

In addition, the diplomat drew attention to the fact that Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia is inevitable. He noted that 20,000 Russian troops, who are still on the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, will simply be cut off during the counteroffensive of Ukrainian troops.

“I am sure that this will lead to the military collapse of Russia. Thus, Russia will lose, and Ukraine will win,” Taylor stressed.

Reparations to Ukraine from Russia: what is known

Ukrainian Justice Minister Denis Malyuska said earlier that Ukraine would demand at least $300 billion in reparations from Russia for losses caused by the Russian invasion .

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Justice is confident that Ukraine’s Western partners have a political agreement to give our country $300 billion of Russia’s gold and foreign exchange reserves. However, in order to do this, it is first necessary to develop an appropriate legal mechanism.
