Russia must fulfill its commitments on ceasefire in Donbas – British ambassador

British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons has said she hopes that Russia will fulfill the agreements on a full ceasefire in Donbas.

“Good to see Trilateral Contact Group agreement on additional ceasefire measures. I really hope these are implemented and civilians in Donbas see a sustained reduction in violence,” she wrote on her Twitter account.

At the same time, Simmons stressed that Russia must fulfill its commitments, including through its influence on armed formations it backs.

The Trilateral Contact Group at a meeting on July 22 agreed to establish a full and comprehensive ceasefire in Donbas from July 27.

The agreements provide for a ban on offensive and reconnaissance operations, the use of firearms, including sniper rifles, as well as the application of disciplinary measures for ceasefire violations.

Come on lady, this statement has been worn out by now. How about one that states Russia have to withdraw their troops from Ukraine, or else?

      • Ukraine have enough evidence to prove Russia invaded Ukraine, yet these people still skirt around the truth. Is nobody allowed to speak the truth about Muscovy, and the terrorist in the Kremlin?

  2. Bah! That saxon bytch is killing my eyes! Holy Anglia Batman! 😩

Anyway, LMAO, it is the usual drivel, carrots but no sticks…

  3. It takes lots of patience and nerves reading such worn-out flimflam from various Western politicians, year in, year out. I wonder, where have they spent the past six years to continue having such hope that mafia land will honor any agreement and to not having the brains (or daring) to name the true culprits. It’s simply sickening.
