Russian drones massively attacked Ternopil today, May 1, and explosions were heard in the city.
At around 1:00 p.m., Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal reported on the movement of a large number of enemy UAVs towards the region and the city.

He later noted that part of Ternopil was left without electricity.
“This is part of the Canada, Center, Novy Svit neighborhoods and the Stary Park neighborhood, as well as part of the Sonyachny massif,” the mayor said.
Nadal also appealed to the townspeople to close their windows.
As reported on social media, thick black smoke is visible in various areas of Ternopil.
Later, the mayor reported that over 50 enemy drones were spotted over Ternopil today, about 20 of which exploded.

According to him, industrial and infrastructure facilities in the city were hit. Ten people were also injured.
“Among them are people in serious condition. All the injured are receiving medical assistance. There is no information about the dead,” Nadal said.
He also added that repair crews are already working to restore power supply, which was lost in some neighborhoods of the city as a result of the attack.
The mayor also warned that there could be dangerous debris in the city due to the attack. Nadal advised residents to stay away from or touch any debris and to call 101 if they see it.
