27 October 2025

In the war against Ukraine, the Russian army lost another Ka-52 attack helicopter.

This was reported by Russian military blogger Fighterbomber, who is associated with the Russian Aerospace Forces.

According to him, the crew of the combat helicopter was killed. He did not provide any other details about the circumstances of the incident.

There is currently no official confirmation from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have not yet reported the downing of this helicopter.

The Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter is designed to destroy armored vehicles, air and ground targets, as well as for reconnaissance. The machine is equipped with powerful armor, a modern targeting system, and missile weapons.

Despite its powerful weaponry, the Ka-52 remains vulnerable to Ukrainian air defense systems and portable anti-aircraft missile systems. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian military has repeatedly shot down such helicopters.

The loss of the ‘Alligators’ significantly affects the Russian Air Force’s ability to support ground forces, as the Ka-52 is one of the key elements of its strike units.

Ukraine regularly publishes data on destroyed Russian equipment, among which the Ka-52 occupies a prominent place as a symbol of the invaders’ aviation losses on the battlefield.
