The Russian military lost its 100th state-of-the-art T-90M tank.

An analyst of the Oryx portal made the corresponding analysis.

According to publicly available information, the analyst could count 100 destroyed and damaged T-90M tanks using available photos and videos.

The list also includes vehicles that were captured by the Ukrainian Defense Forces and abandoned by Russian crews on the battlefield without severe damage.

It should be noted that Russian propaganda claims the T-90M tank to be a response to new modernizations of Western tanks, including the American M1A2 Sep V3, German Leopard 2A7, and British Challenger 3.

The T-90M tank itself represents a deep modernization of the T-90/A tank, which received additional protection, new fire control systems, and a modernized engine and transmission.

The tanks are being modernized from T-90 and T-90A tanks that have been in service with the Russian army since the 1990s.

It should be noted that among the other tanks used by the Russian army in the war against Ukraine, the losses of T-90Ms are quite small, but if we consider the losses of modernized vehicles, these losses are among the largest.

Militarnyi previously reported that in early July, Ukrainian drone operators struck a Russian T-90M by dropping TM-62 anti-tank mines on it.

Also, another T-90M tank was hit by a Ukrainian 155-mm BONUS artillery round.

Artillerymen of the Defense Forces hit a Russian tank located 8 kilometers from the combat line.

After the tank was hit, it started to burn, rendering it inoperable.

  1. Congrats, AFU, to making the cockroaches lose their hundredth “best” tank in the world.
In case you’re wondering, a 155-mm BONUS artillery round gives 155mm cannon artillery long-range capability to destroy enemy combat vehicles, ranging from armored personnel carriers and self-propelled guns, to infantry fighting vehicles and main battle tanks. Developed and produced in cooperation by BAE Systems in Sweden and Nexter in France.
