Over the past day, July 22, the Russian army lost at least 1,220 soldiers, an air defense system and 2 MLRS in the war in Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russia’s total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to July 23, 2024, are approximately:
- personnel – about 568,980 (+1220)
- tanks – 8,288 (+4)
- armored fighting vehicles – 16,000 (+20)
- artillery systems – 15,694 (+57)
- MLRS – 1,125 (+2)
- air defense systems – 901 (+1)
- aircraft – 362 (+0)
- helicopters – 326 (+0)
- UAVs of the operational and tactical level – 12,511 (+36)
- cruise missiles – 2,401 (+0)
- ships/boats – 28 (+0)
- submarines – 1 (+0)
- vehicles and fuel tanks – 21,202 (+64)
- special equipment – 2,640 (+3).
Former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi emphasized that the Russian-Ukrainian war is a war of transition, and the experience of Ukrainians will shape new rules of military art in the 21st century.

And another 57 artillery pieces blown to pieces.
