Russians are trying to stop the movement of Ukrzaliznytsia trains.
On the night of February 5, the Russian army launched a massive drone strike on railway infrastructure in the Sumy region. The station attendant was injured, infrastructure was damaged, and the “Invincibility Car” was damaged.

According to Oleksiy Kuleba , Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine , a railway worker on duty at the station in the Shostka district was caught in the crossfire while on her way to work. She received immediate medical attention.
“Here, the ‘Invincibility Car,’ which was deployed in the community to provide warmth, was also hit. People were sheltering there. Railway buildings and a diesel locomotive were also damaged. Despite the attack, as soon as the security situation allowed, railway workers resumed train service,” Kuleba noted.
According to him, the railway’s energy infrastructure in the area also came under targeted enemy fire.
Russians also launched a drone strike on a railway station in the Akhtyrsky district. Technical facilities and tracks were damaged. Kuleba emphasized that everything is being quickly restored.
“This is yet another act of terrorism against Ukrainian logistics. The enemy is trying to stop train traffic, but Ukrainian Railways is strengthening security protocols and continuing operations,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
