T-62M tanks are heading to Ukraine

The observer suggested what this might be connected with.

Russia is transferring a batch of T-62M tanks without protection to the war in Ukraine, noted military-political observer Alexander Kovalenko.

“What’s especially striking is that the tanks are bare, without Kontakt-1 dynamic protection.” I remember when Russian propaganda talked about the resuscitation of the “T-62, which has no analogues in the world,” making 100,500 reports from the Chita 103rd BTRZ , then there on the T-62M, which was already experiencing problems due to excess weight, they hung the remote control anywhere they could hang it,” he noted.

The expert suggested the reason:

“Are the Kontakt-1 boxes running out, or are tanks needed in the combat zone so quickly that there is no time to bother with improving protection and they are sent as is, the main thing is that it starts? There is something to think about, especially in the context of Putin’s “peaceful” hysterics. ..”, says Kovalenko.

Let us recall, as UNIAN reported, Putin  said that Russia will cease fire and negotiate if Ukraine completely abandons the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Reacting to this, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky noted that this is an ultimatum that cannot be trusted.

  1. “Are the Kontakt-1 boxes running out, or are tanks needed in the combat zone so quickly that there is no time to bother with improving protection and they are sent as is, the main thing is that it starts?”

Why waste money protecting something that won’t last long anyway? When the war started these boxes were proven to be empty on the tanks Ukraine captured.

  2. The new kontakt boxes are cheap meat puppets strapped on the ancient tanks, operated by other cheap meat puppets.

  3. The drones blow up the tanks whether they have reactive armor or not. Quicker to make easier to destroy. The trade off suggests there cutting corners to get tanks to the front.
