“Russia is really running out of air defense”: Dykyi on the effectiveness of Ukraine’s strikes

Russia, unlike Ukraine, is not capable of shooting down up to 90% of UAVs, says the expert.

Deep strikes on Russian territory are what Ukraine has been doing best in the last year of the war. This opinion was expressed on the air of ” Radio NV ” by Yevhen Dykyi, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, former company commander of the “Aidar” battalion.

“And this is what most resembles a strategy. Because let’s be frank. At the front, we have a strategy to hold out. And this is a so-so strategy. And the methodical removal of Russian warehouses, logistics, and especially oil refining work is something that resembles a well-thought-out strategic line. Here you just need to understand that it works quite slowly. But it really works,” said Dyky.

He noted that Russian air defense intercepts about half of Ukrainian UAVs, while Ukraine shoots down up to 90% of Russian “Shaheeds” during air attacks.

“The situation there is almost mirrored. True, the Russians are far from reaching 90% interception. But what is good there is the dynamics. The number of drones they intercept is not increasing. Rather, on the contrary, it is decreasing. That is, the success rate of our strikes is gradually increasing. And there is an objective reason for that. They are really running out of air defense. It turned out that there was not so much of it from the very beginning, when we just started working on the territory of Russia,” Dyky added.

  1. Almost every day we see awesome and successful Ukrainian strikes. Mafia land must burn, so these successes are essential to achieve this goal.
