The Kremlin is ready to resume contacts in the previous format only from November 10th.
During the talks held today between the US President’s special envoy Stephen Witkoff and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin , an agreement was reached to restore the trilateral format “Ukraine-Russia-USA”. They want to restore the format as early as November 10th. This was reported by Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov.

As noted in the Kremlin, the war in Ukraine was the central topic of conversation between Putin and Witkoff.
“Putin told Witkoff that Russia is generally ready to resume trilateral talks on the 10th of November on the main topic. The main topic on which Russia is ready to resume negotiations is the construction of a security system for Russia and Ukraine after the end of the conflict,” Russian media wrote , citing Ushakov.
It is reported that Witkoff told the Russian dictator about new approaches from Ukraine and Europe to the issue of a peaceful settlement. According to Ushakov, Witkoff said that there was not much useful in these ideas.
According to the Kremlin, Putin presented Witkoff with the “objective situation” on the front line and said that the initiative allegedly belonged entirely to the Russian troops. Ushakov did not specify whether the dictator informed the American about the success of the Ukrainian offensive operation “Vivaldi” near Lyman.
Also during the meeting, Putin told Witkoff that the occupiers are “effectively destroying Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities.” Again, it is not specified whether residential high-rise buildings and Ukrainian hospitals are included in the list of “military-industrial complex facilities.”
In addition to Russian aggression against Ukraine, Putin and Witkoff discussed in detail the possibilities of large-scale economic cooperation between Russia and the United States.
The possibility of a trilateral meeting with Trump and Xi Jinping in China was also discussed.
According to Russian media, immediately after the talks with Putin, Witkoff flew out of Russia.
