Mr Gilmore is from what seems sadly to be a dying breed: Reagan Republicans. He correctly uses the term “Putin’s aggressive fascist war.”

I agree. This is why US troops should and must be in Ukraine; along with German, French, British and Polish troops.
Comparing Mr Gilmore with the likes of what we have in Washington these days, we have gone in the completely wrong direction, politically speaking, since the days of Reagan. We had some great people in high positions, but today, we have many filthy rags that would be better off working as street sweepers and shoe shine boys, instead of wasting taxpayer’s money by ruining our standing in this world.

Trump and his acolytes poisoned the minds of ordinary Republicans, who have been tought to despise Ukraine and Ukrainians. Trump even campaigned with his asshole son, to insult and ridicule Zel.
It’s not too late for him to change, but it seems very doubtful.
