Russia is left without the Admiral Ushakov destroyer, according to media reports.

Now, nominally, only one destroyer of this type remains in the Russian Navy.

On December 6, the naval ensign was lowered on the Northern Fleet’s Project 956 destroyer Admiral Ushakov, according to the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies.

It was the last ship of this project, the 17th, commissioned into the Soviet and Russian navies. Its last deployment was in 2023.

Now, the Russian Navy nominally has only one destroyer of this class left, the Naporisty. It is listed as part of the Baltic Fleet, but is effectively inactive.
