Russia is introducing year-round conscription: military registration and enlistment offices will operate without interruption.

The State Duma passed a law allowing medical examinations and selection of conscripts from January 1 to December 31.

Russia will no longer have breaks between conscription campaigns—from now on, the selection process and medical examinations of future soldiers will continue throughout the year. The State Duma of the Russian Federation has passed a corresponding law, according to Russian media.

According to the document, military registration and enlistment offices are authorized to conduct medical examinations, psychological testing, and conscription commission meetings without interruption—from January 1 to December 31.

At the same time, conscripts will continue to be sent to their places of service twice a year – in the spring (from April 1 to July 15) and in the fall (from October 1 to December 31).

The changes may indicate preparations for a larger-scale mobilization, as the continuous operation of military registration and enlistment offices simplifies the monitoring of citizen registration and allows for the rapid replenishment of the army.
