More than 100 settlements, home to about 17.5 thousand people, may fall into the flood zone.

In the Tyumen region of the Russian Federation, a record flood has been recorded since 1947. This was reported by Russian media with reference to the governor of the region, Alexander Moor.

It is noted that the water level in the Ishim River in the Tyumen region continues to rise. Thus, in the city of Ishim, the river rose by 228 cm per day, reaching a level of 690 cm, in the village of Abatskoye – by 33 cm, to 522 cm. Moreover, the highest level in Ishim within the city of the same name over 70 years of observation was recorded on May 10, 2017 years – then the water rose to 982 cm.

According to media reports, a state of emergency has been introduced in the Tyumen region since April 8 due to the threat of flooding. During the spring flood period in the region, an increase in water levels in the Tobol and Ishim rivers is predicted. More than 100 settlements, home to about 17.5 thousand people, may fall into the flood zone.
