While Russian officials insist that everything is “under control,” residents tell a different story. Tap water reportedly smells so bad that some people are washing with rainwater, while others spend up to six hours in line just to buy fuel.

In the new episode of Break the Fake, Jonasz Rewiński takes a look at Russia’s latest domestic “success story” – foul-smelling water, endless fuel queues, and officials who keep saying there’s nothing to worry about. Because apparently, if you repeat “everything is fine” long enough, the smell will eventually just dissipate.
